Please call the center prior to class if your child will be absent and arrange for the work to be picked up. We kindly request one week's notice prior to a vacation to ensure that your child’s Kumon work is prepared in advance.

There are no make-up sessions.

Kumon is a year-round program. Students absent for more than one month during a calendar year must be reregistered and pay the registration fee to resume Kumon study.

Kumon Centers follow NYC public school decisions on whether to open/close for inclement weather.

Kumon is closed for all national holidays and during the last week of the year.

The Kumon program is very flexible in that no contract is required. If you wish your child to stop attending Kumon or pause for a month, you must give written notice by the 15th of the prior month. For example, If you wish to stop on March 1st, written notice must be given by February 15th. Because this flexibility requires additional administrative work, there are no exceptions to the 15th deadline.

Parents/caregivers are not allowed in the center during class time to keep the number of people down.

No cell phones, games, music, food, or drinks are permitted in the Kumon Center.
